How we use it
Every home on the Scottish Assessors’ council tax lists in each band, A to H, as at December 2025, counted for each of Scotland’s 7,392 data zones (the 2022 set). The counts are whole numbers, not rounded. A postcode page shows the figures for the data zone its centre is in, usually 250 to 500 homes, not the postcode alone. A home’s own band is set by the Scottish Assessors, and is on their site. Read again each month, and replaced when National Records of Scotland publishes the next year’s.
