How we use it

Every postcode page, and every district, sector, area, place and council page, is built from the ONS Postcode Directory (August 2026). The centre point of a postcode is the one ONS gives: it is approximate, it is not the position of any one building, and it is not a boundary. The maps on this site are drawn from these centre points alone.
