How we use it
Each school is placed where the Scottish Government places it. A school with more than one department (a primary and a secondary, or a special department) has a row for each: we show it once, with the stages of its primary and secondary departments and its rolls added together, so a school with both is listed under both. Its list gives no ages, so we show none, and a department it records with a roll of 0 adds no pupils. A school opens its website where the council lists one and it is the school’s own: not a social media page, a council’s home page, or one page given for three or more schools. Special schools are not listed among the primary and secondary schools. Distances are straight lines, not routes or catchments. We keep no person’s name.
